I once knew a Snyder who once coded in assembler on a 1401.

1401 Autocoder was the first programming language I learned. This was in 1967 -- I programmed 2 years using this language and also Autocoder for the 1410. 1410 Autocoder had 4 or maybe it was 5 character op codes, also the addresses were 5 digits as opposed to the 3 character addresses used on the 1401. BTW, I am still programming, uh, it's called 'developing' now, after 42 years...

Hmm.... my simulator process checks at memory location 373 when it gets down to 9 bottles of beer. But then I wrote it based upon my memory of the 1401 instruction set as best I can remember it (and that was from 35 years ago), with a little help for the McCracken programming manual.
